This paper examines the Indo-Pacific region and the European Union’s role in the strategic rivalry between the United States and China, within the context of the Ukraine war and the transformation of the international order. It analyses the positions of China, the USA, Japan, South Korea, ASEAN, India, and the impact of China and Russia’s ambitions on global dynamics. The paper highlights the importance of regional stability, North Korea’s nuclear capabilities, and the possibility of a new global order, while discussing how the European Union can contribute through “cooperative autonomy” and adaptation to geopolitical, economic, and technological changes.
